Actually, all copies of Gone but not Forgotten were published at the same time - in much too big of a hurry and with font substitution adding more typos at the printers. The stamp inside the front cover was added ten years later when the revision was finished with the new title. It's quite different! Though the basic story and characters don't change, just some sequencing, character depth, and other aspects.

I picked up a second copy of Gone But Not Forgotten at the Provo DI today for $2, but this one has a stamp on the inside front cover for The Perfect Gift. I have done four compilations, so I find myself 'proof-reading' when I read. There were alot of type-setting errors in the first copy I got, so I am looking forward to seeing what the differences are and if type-setting corrections have been made, since the first copy did NOT have The Perfect Gift stamp on the inside cover. I am looking forward to its sequel arriving.

And here's a portion of a friend's highly-complimentary blog post that references this book (thanks, Melanee!):

Let's just say that I don't impress easily. Accomplishments, titles, income, belongings, travel, resume, and physical beauty just don't impress or intimidate me at all. To me, it's just a swirl of dust around a person whose clearest essence originates in the heart.

No, I'm not easily impressed, unless, of course, you're talking about this one eensy weensy accomplishment. Unless you're talking about the amazingness of a being a published author. Sigh. An author who writes from a place of truth and soulful generosity. Sigh again. An author who seeks not to answer, but to ask the questions that inspire deep consideration, embodied within engaging and page turning stories. Sigh, sigh, and sigh. Now that is impressive.

Part of a trilogy, this is Shaun's latest novel just in time for Christmas. It's called Courage, Love, and the Meaning of Christmas.

As Ben Jonson states in Timber or Discovery, “As a man speaks, so is he. Speak that I may see thee.” Your works, Shaun, read like you. On the surface, they are timeless and understated, until one exercises the courage to take their foot off the edge of the ocean, and swim in satisfying waters that are 70,000 fathoms deep.

To a world who will awaken with a passion to dive into the deep, and
To the most wholly courageous and compassionate friend I have ever known:
Thank-you Shaun for sharing your luminous gifts with our world.

Here’s a reader comment posted on Amazon.com (http://tinyurl.com/christmasbook) by “J Partridge”:

A fantastic book!
I really loved this book. I read it in two nights -- practically couldn't put it down. Roundy is a pro in this genre. He really captures the heart of interpersonal interactions and relationships, and mixes in the right amount of suspense and adventure. And he takes a much needed and profound look at the real meaning and purpose of life. An excellent read! (And I'm excited that this story about Spencer is a trilogy!)

Here's a reader comment posted on Amazon.com (http://tinyurl.com/christmasbook) by "Werd Smythe":

I totally love this book! In so many ways. The story is interesting and moving, the writing is vivid, the characters are well defined, I learned a lot about the meaning of life, but mostly, it was really fun to read. I rarely read the same thing twice, but this once I certainly will.

This book was not what I expected! I expected another mediocre-but-mildly-touching Christmas tear-jerker.

Instead, I found a very interesting story that every time I had to put it down, I couldn't wait to pick it up again. I just finished reading it and ordered the sequel, plus a few more of this one for gifts. Hurry up, Mr. Mailman!
