The Perfect Gift

tpgfcoverThe long-awaited sequel to Courage, Love and the Meaning of Christmas is here at last! The story picks up 11 months later as the next Christmas rolls around.  Much has changed for Spencer and friends, but not nearly as much as is about to!

You will be surprised. It’s not what you were expecting. Then you’ll be surprised again and again and again. Sometimes pleasantly, sometimes…well, you’ll find out. Life is not always easy. How will you respond when things don’t go as planned – for better or for worse?

The Perfect Gift wraps up some loose ends from Courage, Love and the Meaning of Christmas, while some of your favorite characters from book one come into play in new and surprising ways.

The Perfect Gift was the perfect book to read over the holidays. The book had me laughing, crying, hoping, and loving along side with the characters. Not only was it an exciting love story but it left me feeling as though I had learned something valuable to apply to my life and for that I am thankful. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

Wow! I loved it even more than the first one! I sure haven’t gotten much else done today besides read!! But it was totally worth it.

This book is SO moving! It’s profoundly optimistic and simultaneously stunningly realistic about how challenging life can be. I’m kind of amazed that a book can pull that off.

I actually wanted to cheer for Ski at one point, and felt so bad for Spencer at another that I had to remind myself that these aren’t real people. Dang awesome book! I wish the next one was already out! Hurry up, Shaun Roundy!

Here’s a reader comment posted on Amazon.com (http://tinyurl.com/christmasnovel) by “Werd Smythe”:

I think I like this sequel to Courage, Love & The Meaning of Christmas even better than the first one, which was great. This one has even more fun dialog, especially with Ski, who is kind of a jerk and kind of a crack up. I think the character development moves along really well and some really incredible changes come off as highly plausible.

A few plot elements were easy enough to guess, but they were fun to read anyway, and there were plenty of things that I didn’t see coming, even though I made it a game to try to guess.

I had a few favorite parts, where the book really made me feel A. Creeped out! B. Made me laugh a few times. C. Okay, I admit it, I cried once. and D. One part was really sad! I don’t know why that was a favorite. I guess because of it being strong writing and I couldn’t help but get into it.

Read the first book first, though, or you won’t know what’s going on.

What happened to “The Fall from Heaven”? Anxious for the rest of the story!

  5. Shaun Roundy says:

Me, too! I really hope to finish it in the next few months. The main story is all in place, much of it’s written, but I have a few more things to work out to get it just right.

To be notified the moment it’s ready, send an email to heaven@shaunroundy.com to automatically be added to the list and I’ll let you know!

    Thanks for asking.
